The CrossFit Girls 2021 - 7 New CrossFit Girls Benchmark Workouts

If you have tried and loved the original CrossFit Girl benchmark workouts... Fran, Grace, Angie etc then you will be as excited as we are to hear CrossFit have added 7 new official CrossFit Girl benchmark workouts to the ranks.

New CrossFit Girls Workouts, what's the big deal?

Well the original CrossFit Girls workouts was introduced back in 2003 and this is the first time in over a decade they've added any new ones!

What do the names mean?

CrossFit have said the new workouts, unlike the original “Girls” were not named after anyone in particular, but are “cousins” of classic benchmark workouts with “each designed to have a similar look and feel to a benchmark while being uniquely different.” 

So for example, to us it looks like Grettel is similar to Grace (30 Clean and Jerks) and Ingrid is similar to Isabelle (30 Snatch) just with burpees added and a change in rep scheme.

Will we see these in the CrossFit Open or CrossFit Games?

CrossFit have a history of using Benchmark WOD's in both the CrossFit Open and The CrossFit Games so we could potentially see these make an appearance this year.
